The Problem
This customer called us because a window that he had installed (not by us) had been constantly leaking. He had called many contractors prior to us who tried to fix it which was evident when seeing the amount of caulking around the window. We went out and determined that the issue was the window was not properly installed and the fascia metal above the window was also not properly installed.
The Solution
So we removed the siding down below the window. We installed flashing tape around the entire window, covering the nail flange and extending out to the corners of the house. We installed a new piece of fascia above the window with a proper drip cap to keep water from running behind the siding. Leaky window fixed!
