The Problem
This customer here had an issue with his roof “sweating”. This means that there was excess moisture inside of his attic which caused the roof and wood decking to prematurely deteriorate. Even though he had a ridge vent, his issue was insufficient balance in roof ventilation. Since he did not have proper intake ventilation through soffets or vents at eves.
The Solution
The solution was to install DCI Smart Intake vents on the bottom of the roof. This allows air to flow from the bottom of the roof out the top of the roof through the ridge vent. This constant flow of air eliminates the condensation and moisture buildup in the attic space.
