The Problem
This customer was renovating his bathroom over the winter. When he cut open the ceiling, SNOW fell into his bathroom. Shocked, he called us to come over and take a look. When we went out, we noticed the wall along the lower portion of the roof (where the bathroom was located) step flashing that was installed improperly. When the roof was previously installed, the roofing company who installed it, did not overlap (”step”) the flashing properly along the wall which is a HUGE mistake. This improper installation caused leaks and SNOW from the roof to fall on this homeowner’s floor.
The Solution
We were able to go out, replace the lower section of the roof and properly install the step flashing along the wall.
